This blog is directed toward a K-5 audience working with J. Allen Axson School. It is about the Fulbright Grant funded trip to Indonesia from August 2008-March 2009 taken by a UNF Associate Professor of Anthropology. The goal is create an interactive environment for k-5 students to learn about Indonesia through the eyes of one of their classmates fathers. Others schools are welcome to participate.

Roadside Monkeys
This troop of monkeys seems to be living next the road on the way to LakeToba. Trash and handouts seem to attract them to the spot. This video is a mother and her baby. I have a challenge for the older students. Identify the species of monkey. I honestly don’t know the species, I have a guess, but I don’t know monkeys all that well.
I am an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of North Florida. During 2008-2009, I am a Fulbright Senior Scholar at the State Islamic Insitute of North Sumatra.
